“Cantique” – What a unique name for an antique & collectibles store! Short, simple – yet very distinct. People often ask how we came up with the name.

In our family, we have always had a love for antiques and nostalgia. We probably got the “bug” early as youngsters when we went on digs in long-abandoned garbage dumps looking for old bottles and other historic artifacts. As adults, we wanted to find a way to combine our love for collecting old things and things that just look old into some sort of business. Early on, we determined that we wanted to reflect a distinctly Canadian flavour in everything we do. And it was this blend of “Canada” and “Antique” that gave us the idea for the name of our new venture – CANTIQUE.   

We are a home-based business operated by the Hooker Family at Big Lake and in Prince George, British Columbia. From our two locations, we provide service to all of Central B.C. including 100 Mile House, Williams Lake, Quesnel, and Vanderhoof.  We also ship our unique signs all across Canada.

Aside from a huge selection of signs in every shape, size, and colour, we also carry a wide variety of unique antiques that we have collected over the years. Our selection is constantly changing, and many items are often sold before we can show them online. Be sure to check our site frequently for new items that become available.
